Last time I checked, they were only 3?

I just watched the pilot for The Secret Circle. I should have been sleeping, note my last post to see my lovely 8 AM class tomorrow morning. But it was free on iTunes so I decided to check it out.
First of all I have to say, this is a much better fit to follow TVD than Nikita was. This has the same feel to it. The creaters were definitely going for that. It’s very dark but as of right now it’s missing some of that TVD sex appeal. It’ll be impossible not to compare the two shows. They are the same genre, with the same style of cast and they’re on the same channel on the same night.
This makes me think back to how terrible the pilot and first half of TVD Season 1 was. This pilot was better than that pilot was so maybe it will have a fast incline. I will always like this kind of show, so it’s hard for me to judge objectively but I think Brit Robertson is great. I like the concept (though it is eerily similar to Emily Gould’s Hex Education).
I think this show will go the predictable route of teen angst and drama. I just hope it’s backed by a good, unpredictable plot. It started out well in this episode. I wasn’t expecting a lot of the creepier plot twists. I hope this show doesn’t end up being too scary and I want to get my ship on, so I hope they don’t wait to get going with the love stories.

There’s no Tumblr app for iPad yet

So I might be rebloggging without comment for the next hour and twenty minutes because I’m in class. #firstworldproblems
